IVF & ICSI Process at Beyond IVF (Included in This Package Price)

  1. Consultation with a Fertility Specialist
    – The doctor will assess your medical history, explain the treatment plan, and provide guidance on how to prepare. (It's best to schedule this before your period begins.)
  2. Ovarian Stimulation
    – On day 2–3 of your menstrual cycle, the doctor will perform blood tests and an ultrasound to check hormone levels and begin hormone injections to stimulate the ovaries. Follow-up visits and ultrasounds will be scheduled to monitor follicle development. This stage typically takes about 10 days.
  3. Egg & Sperm Collection
    – Once the eggs have matured, they will be retrieved using a fine needle guided through the vaginal wall under sedation to ensure no pain. The procedure takes 20–30 minutes.
    – The male partner will provide a semen sample, which is then processed to select the healthiest sperm for fertilization.
  4. Embryo Culturing

– Fertilized eggs are monitored in the lab as they divide and grow. The embryos will be cultured until they reach the blastocyst stage, when they are most viable.

Embryo Transfer
– Once high-quality embryos are available, the doctor and patient will select the best one(s) for transfer. The embryo is transferred into the uterus via the cervix in a painless, non-sedated procedure.Pregnancy Testing
– Hormone levels are monitored every 3 days after the transfer. A pregnancy test is performed 14 days post-transfer to confirm the result.

Where Is the Best Place to Do IVF/ICSI?

Today, IVF and ICSI treatments have become increasingly popular, especially among individuals aged 30 and above or those facing infertility challenges. As a result, many facilities—including specialized clinics and large hospitals—now offer fertility treatment services.

However, when choosing where to undergo IVF, it’s important not to focus on price alone. Other crucial factors include:

  • Cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Safety protocols and equipment
  • The expertise and specialization of the doctor in reproductive medicine

Selecting a reputable facility with experienced professionals can significantly increase your chances of success and ensure peace of mind throughout the process.

The Biological Clock

This tool indicates:

  • Natural conception per month if you have no fertility issues
  • IVF success rate at the same age
  • When to seek help after months of unsuccessful attempts

If you are concerned at any stage – we recommend booking a doctor appointment or a free nurse consultation. The sooner you make a plan the better your chances in the long term.

When to seek advice early

  • If you have polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, or have been through a cancer diagnosis; we recommend you get in touch quickly so we can talk you through all your options and give you the greatest possible chance of success.
  • If you’re a single woman considering motherhood in the future; it’s best to approach us early and consider egg freezing as this can be an option for you while you have a higher ovarian reserve and healthier eggs.

Body Mass Index calculator

Being overweight or underweight can reduce fertility, so it is important to keep your body weight within the normal healthy range.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indication of your body weight and can be calculated by dividing weight by height. You should aim for a BMI of between 20 and 25, as this will optimise your chances of conception.

Woman’s BMI below 19

Even in these modern times, nature knows best. If a woman's BMI falls below 19, the body senses famine and ovulation is switched off to prevent the risk of having a baby with malnutrition. Excessive exercise can reduce body fat and increase muscle mass to a point where periods cease for the same reason. Risk of miscarriage is also increased in women with a low BMI.

Being underweight

If a woman's BMI falls below 19, the body senses famine and ovulation is switched off to prevent the risk of having a baby with malnutrition. Excessive exercise can reduce body fat and increase muscle mass to a point where periods cease for the same reason. Risk of miscarriage is also increased in women with a low BMI.

BMI’s greater than 30

This can reduce fertility by 50%. Pregnancy for women with a 30+ BMI is often associated with problems such as maternal diabetes, high blood pressure, big babies and increased risk of caesarean section.
